North Zone Advances to Duleep Trophy Semis with Victory Over West Zone

North Zone triumphed over West Zone by 52 runs, securing their spot in the Duleep Trophy semi-finals. The match concluded on the fourth day, where left-arm spinners Abid Mushtaq and Nishant Sindhu efficiently dismissed West Zone's batting lineup in just 6.3 overs.

West Zone, chasing a target of 287, resumed their innings at 220/7 but could only manage to score 14 more runs, finishing at 234 all out. Mushtaq, who took four wickets for 60 runs, initiated the collapse by dismissing Tanush Kotian and later Tushar Deshpande. Sindhu sealed the victory by trapping Urvil Patel lbw. Mushtaq's overall match figures were 9/99, earning him the Player of the Match title.

The turning point came on the third day when West captain Ruturaj Gaikwad was run out after scoring 66 runs, leading to a rapid loss of wickets. North Zone will now face South Zone in the semi-finals, while East Zone will compete against Central Zone, starting August 30.
