Nottingham Forest to Sign Chelsea's Liam Delap for £45 Million

Nottingham Forest is preparing to finalize a transfer deal for Chelsea striker Liam Delap, with the fee expected to be around £45 million, which would set a new club record.

Delap, who joined Chelsea last summer for £30 million after a successful stint at Ipswich Town, has struggled to find his form, scoring only once in the league for Chelsea. Despite this, Forest is moving forward with the acquisition.

Manager Oliver Glasner indicated that Delap would not participate in the upcoming Carabao Cup match against Leeds, hinting at the imminent transfer. Delap previously lost his number nine shirt to Joao Pedro and was absent from Chelsea's recent match against Fulham.
