Nottingham Forest manager Oliver Glasner has voiced his displeasure regarding the video assistant referee (VAR) ruling that disallowed a goal by Neco Williams during a 0-0 draw with Tottenham. The incident occurred in the second half when Williams' effort was deemed to have involved a handball.

Initially, the goal was awarded by referee Craig Pawson, but VAR official Peter Bankes intervened, stating that Williams handled the ball before scoring. Glasner argued that the VAR's decision was based on conjecture rather than clear evidence, emphasizing that the threshold for intervention should be high.

Williams, who insisted that the ball did not touch his arm, expressed disappointment over the ruling, stating that he had headed the ball into the net. The Premier League's official match center confirmed the VAR's reasoning, which is based on the rule that any contact with the arm by the scorer before a goal results in disallowance, regardless of intent.
