Novak Djokovic Eliminated from Cincinnati Open by Thiago Agustin Tirante

Novak Djokovic was eliminated from the Cincinnati Open after losing to Thiago Agustin Tirante on Saturday. The match, which took place in Mason, Ohio, lasted 2 hours and 44 minutes under hot and humid conditions.

Tirante, a 25-year-old from Argentina ranked No. 50 in the world, defeated the 39-year-old Djokovic with a score of 2-6, 6-4, 6-4. This match marked Djokovic's first appearance since his semifinal loss to Jannik Sinner at Wimbledon.

Djokovic, a three-time champion at the Cincinnati Open and currently ranked No. 5, had his 10-match winning streak in the tournament come to an end. He saved 13 of the 15 break points he faced, but Tirante managed to break Djokovic's serve in the ninth game of the final set. Djokovic is set to compete next at the U.S. Open starting on August 30.
