Ocon Attributes Haas Issues to Car Inconsistency
Esteban Ocon has stated that his recent performance at Zandvoort reinforces his belief that the inconsistent behavior of Haas cars is impacting comparisons with teammate Oliver Bearman this season.
Ocon noted that despite both cars being equipped with similar parts, their performance can vary significantly, making it difficult to identify the source of the inconsistency. He highlighted that Bearman's struggles at Spa and Budapest exemplify this issue.
Ocon qualified P15, ahead of Bearman, and expressed satisfaction with his car's predictability during the race weekend. He remarked on the puzzling differences in performance between the two cars, suggesting that each time they take to the track, one car may perform well while the other does not. Team principal Ayao Komatsu acknowledged Ocon's capabilities when he is comfortable with the car, emphasizing the need to provide optimal setups for the drivers.
