Odell Beckham Jr. Joins Vikings at Kevin O'Connell's Request
Odell Beckham Jr. has joined the Minnesota Vikings, motivated by the desire of head coach Kevin O'Connell, who previously worked with him at the Rams. Both share a Super Bowl championship from their time together.
During a press conference, Beckham mentioned that he had other options after his release from the Giants but chose the Vikings due to O'Connell's expressed interest in having him on the team. He noted that it feels rewarding to play for someone who genuinely wants him there.
Unlike his previous stint with the Giants, which was seen as more of a publicity move, Beckham's signing with Minnesota is focused solely on enhancing the team's performance. O'Connell, who had opportunities to sign Beckham before but did not, believes that Beckham can contribute positively at this time. Beckham's debut could occur soon, potentially in a game against the Saints in Louisiana.
