Odell Beckham Jr. Returns to Action in Preseason Opener
Odell Beckham Jr., wide receiver for the Giants, participated in his first game since Week 14 of the 2024 season during Saturday's preseason opener at MetLife Stadium.
Beckham received a positive reception from the crowd when he entered the game in the second quarter, completing two receptions for six yards from quarterback Jameis Winston on three attempts. He was also seen open for a potential downfield pass late in the first half, but Winston chose a shorter option instead.
Head coach John Harbaugh, who previously coached Beckham in Baltimore, expressed satisfaction with Beckham's performance, noting his determination and the personal motivation he has as a father. Beckham is currently listed on the third string of the Giants' depth chart, and his lack of special teams play may affect his chances of securing a spot on the final roster.
