Oliver Solberg Expands Lead in Rally Chile

Oliver Solberg has extended his lead in the World Rally Championship during Rally Chile, finishing the day with a 10.1-second advantage over Elfyn Evans.

Solberg, who excelled in the morning's muddy conditions, entered midday service with a 2.3-second lead over his Toyota teammate. As the stages dried in the afternoon, he gained further time on Evans, who faced challenges due to his road position. Solberg concluded the day by winning the final stage, edging out Hyundai's Adrien Fourmaux.

Fourmaux overcame early electronic issues to maintain third place, finishing just ahead of nine-time champion Sébastien Ogier. Meanwhile, Sami Pajari improved his standing to fifth overall after a strong performance in the afternoon. Thierry Neuville, however, struggled with his vehicle and dropped from fourth to sixth. Takamoto Katsuta did not complete the day after losing control of his car. The final stage was briefly halted due to an incident involving WRC2 competitors, who were later taken to the hospital for precautionary checks.
