Oliver Solberg is leading Rally Chile with a 10.1-second advantage over Elfyn Evans, as the World Rally Championship prepares for a challenging Saturday. The drivers anticipate that the longer and warmer stages will significantly stress the Hankook tyres.

On Friday, Solberg managed to navigate the muddy conditions without issues, but the upcoming stages will cover 139.2 kilometers in drier weather, increasing the risk of tyre problems. To mitigate this, Rally1 crews have been allocated more Hankook tyres for the weekend.

Other competitors, including nine-time world champion Sébastien Ogier, expect a tumultuous day ahead, with potential tyre issues likely to arise. Ogier, starting Saturday 19.7 seconds behind the leader, hopes to avoid complications. Meanwhile, Esapekka Lappi expressed frustration over his performance and the challenges posed by his starting position.
