Olivia Breen Wins Gold in T38 Long Jump at Commonwealth Games 2026
Olivia Breen captured gold in the T38 long jump final at the Commonwealth Games held in Glasgow, taking place at Scotstoun Stadium.
The Team Wales captain achieved a jump of 5.09m in the first round, surpassing her previous Games record from 2018, although the wind conditions were too strong for it to be officially recognized. In the second round, she set a new record with a wind-legal jump of 5.03m.
Australia's Layla Sharp finished with silver, just three centimeters behind Breen, while fellow Australian Ayla Kowalczyk took home the bronze. This victory marked Breen's second medal of the Games, following her silver in the T38 100m final earlier in the week. With this win, Breen has now earned five medals across her four Commonwealth Games appearances.
