Ollie Millroy Credits Loek Hartog with Saving His Life After China GT Crash
During the China GT Championship race in Shanghai, British driver Ollie Millroy was rescued from his burning Ferrari by rival Loek Hartog, who used a fire extinguisher to extinguish the flames before pulling him from the wreckage.
Millroy, who suffered multiple injuries including broken ribs and a bruised lung, stated that he owes his life to Hartog's quick actions, which took place before any official rescue teams arrived. He shared his experience on social media, emphasizing the bravery displayed by Hartog.
In response to the incident, AAI Motorsport, Millroy's team, announced it would withdraw from future races organized by China GT, citing serious safety concerns and a lack of timely emergency response during the event.
