The triathlon season is far from over, with significant events scheduled in the Middle East for November and December 2026, despite the ongoing U.S.-Iran conflict. Major organizations such as IRONMAN, World Triathlon, and T100 have planned races in the region, but concerns about safety and participation loom large.

The Abu Dhabi International Triathlon, which previously contributed to the sport's growth in the region, is among the events affected by the geopolitical situation. World Triathlon had to postpone its Abu Dhabi event originally set for March 2026, rescheduling it for November alongside the World Triathlon Multisport Championships.

While organizers remain hopeful that the events will proceed as planned, national federations like Triathlon Canada are cautious, prioritizing athlete safety and considering travel advisories.
