Oregon Ducks Change Offensive Coordinator After Loss to Illinois

Following a disappointing 21-10 defeat to Illinois, Oregon Ducks have parted ways with offensive coordinator Drew Mehringer as the team struggles offensively.

The Oregon Ducks have experienced a challenging season, culminating in a 21-10 defeat against the Illinois Fighting Illini in Week 8.

With quarterback Dante Moore sidelined due to a concussion, Dylan Raiola started but struggled, throwing for 246 yards without scoring. In response to the team's offensive struggles, Oregon announced the departure of offensive coordinator Drew Mehringer.

Mehringer, who served as co-offensive coordinator and tight ends coach since 2022, was promoted to offensive coordinator in January. The Ducks have not scored 20 or more points in their last three games and rank poorly in various offensive metrics. Moore is expected to return soon, and the Ducks will face the Northwestern Wildcats at Autzen Stadium on Halloween.
