Oregon QB Dante Moore to Miss Remainder of Season Due to Concussion
Dante Moore, the quarterback for Oregon, will not participate in the remainder of the 2026 season due to a concussion sustained last month. This announcement was made by Coach Dan Lanning.
Moore suffered the concussion on September 26 during a game against USC, where he was injured by an illegal hit while sliding. Following the incident, he was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
Coach Lanning emphasized that Moore's decision to sit out is not a reflection of his desire to play, stating that the player would be on the field if it were safe. The Ducks, who began the season ranked No. 2, currently hold a record of 4-3 and are no longer in the top 25. Under NCAA regulations, Moore has the option to return to college football in 2027, postponing his entry into the draft until 2028.
