Recent trades include sending pitcher Dean Kremer to the Twins for prospect Jhomnardo Reyes, while also acquiring catchers Jake Rogers and claiming Yohel Pozo from waivers, as regular catchers Adley Rutschman and Samuel Basallo are currently injured.

Elias expressed a desire to retain Rutschman but acknowledged the need to remain open-minded regarding trade discussions. The high demand for catchers could influence the Orioles' decision-making, particularly with division rivals like the Rays, Red Sox, and Yankees seeking catching assistance.
