Ospreys Rotate Squad for Challenge Cup Match Against Black Lion

The Ospreys are set to begin their European campaign against Black Lion in the Challenge Cup at Avchala Stadium in Tbilisi on Saturday. This match follows a demanding start to the season, where the team has already traveled extensively, including fixtures in South Africa.

In preparation for the match, the Ospreys have rotated their squad, introducing six players who will make their first starts of the season, including debutant full-back Lewis Edwards. This brings the total number of starters for the season to 34 across four matches. Assistant coach Richard Kelly emphasized the importance of maintaining a competitive edge while managing player workloads.

The Ospreys will face a Black Lion team that has previously shown strong performances, including a notable victory against Montauban last season. Kelly acknowledged the physical challenge posed by Black Lion, particularly in set pieces and driving line-outs.
