Pablo Torre Decides Against Investigating Jalen Brunson's Signing with the Knicks
Pablo Torre has announced that he will not pursue an investigation into the New York Knicks' signing of Jalen Brunson, which occurred in 2022. This decision comes after Torre's previous investigation into the LA Clippers, who were found guilty of salary cap circumvention.
Last year, Torre suggested he might look into the Knicks' process for signing Brunson, but he later revealed that Knicks fans, including Jalen Brunson's father, Rick Brunson, urged him not to investigate. Torre noted that he frequently encountered fans expressing their desire for him to leave Brunson alone.
While the Knicks were found guilty of tampering in their signing of Brunson, their punishment was less severe than that of the Clippers, resulting in only a minor penalty of one second-round pick.
