Pablo Torre Hints at New Investigative Series Amid Knicks Speculation
Pablo Torre, known for his investigative work, is teasing a new project following his reporting on the Los Angeles Clippers' salary cap violations involving Kawhi Leonard. During an appearance on The Dan Patrick Show, he mentioned ongoing discussions about a potential investigation into the New York Knicks and their star guard Jalen Brunson.
While Torre acknowledged receiving numerous tips about various teams, he stated that his current focus is on broader issues concerning sports team owners and their financial practices. He plans to launch a new series on his podcast, Pablo Torre Finds Out, which will explore systemic issues rather than individual player contracts.
The speculation around Brunson arises from his four-year, $156.5 million extension with the Knicks, which left a significant amount of money on the table compared to a maximum deal. Torre clarified that the Knicks' situation differs from the Clippers' violations, and despite fan interest, he reiterated that the Knicks are not currently under investigation.
