Pacers Waive Guard Ethan Thompson
The Indiana Pacers have officially waived guard Ethan Thompson, who was on a two-way contract with the team. Reports indicate that Thompson is set to join the EuroLeague team KK Partizan after reaching a one-plus-one contract agreement.
Thompson, 27, went undrafted in 2021 and has primarily played in the NBA G League over the past five years, representing teams such as the Windy City Bulls and Sioux Falls Skyforce. He had a brief stint with the Pacers last season, appearing in 32 NBA games and averaging 7.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists.
His release is expected to facilitate the Pacers' roster adjustments, allowing them to accommodate second-round pick Braden Smith, who is anticipated to sign a two-way contract, alongside existing two-way players Jalen Slawson and Kobe Brown.
