Packers Acquire Arden Walker from Vikings to Strengthen Defense
The Green Bay Packers have bolstered their defensive line by claiming undrafted rookie Arden Walker off waivers from the Minnesota Vikings. This move occurred on Tuesday, following Walker's release by Minnesota a day earlier to make room for veteran linebacker Kenny Dyson.
Walker, who played as a defensive end, will join the Packers' training camp roster. He had been with the Vikings since signing as an undrafted free agent in May. During his college career, he recorded 102 tackles, including 14 for loss, and eight sacks over five seasons at Missouri and Colorado.
Despite not being drafted, Walker received positive feedback for his skills during the spring. The Packers are looking to evaluate him as they prepare for the preseason, where he will compete for a role among several edge rushers on the team. The upcoming weeks will be crucial for Walker as he aims to secure a spot on the roster.
