Packers Adjust Offensive Line Ahead of Bears Matchup
The Green Bay Packers have made significant adjustments to their offensive line as they prepare for their Week 5 game against the Chicago Bears. After adding three offensive linemen last week, veteran guard Kevin Zeitler has been integrated into the starting lineup during practice on Wednesday.
Previously, Zeitler did not work with the first unit at right guard, with Donovan Jennings and Travis Glover sharing the position. However, in the latest practice, Zeitler lined up alongside Jordan Morgan, Laken Tomlinson, Sean Rhyan, and Anthony Belton, indicating he is set to play against the Bears. Zeitler's increased familiarity with the team's offensive system is expected to enhance the protection for quarterback Jordan Love.
While Glover performed well in the previous game against the Buccaneers, Zeitler's experience as a former Pro Bowl guard positions him as a stronger option. The Packers are also managing injuries to other offensive linemen, including Aaron Banks and Jacob Monk, who have both missed recent games. Zeitler's presence could provide the stability the team needs on the offensive line.
