Packers and Vikings Address Week 1 Challenges
After reviewing the Week 1 loss to the Vikings, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur identified several areas for improvement, particularly in pass protection from the offensive line.
LaFleur noted that the team experienced protection issues that should not have occurred, emphasizing the need for better execution and communication to protect the quarterback. He acknowledged that while there were positive moments, the high number of hits taken by the quarterback was unacceptable.
Meanwhile, Vikings quarterback Kyler Murray has entered concussion protocol after a hit from safety Javon Bullard, which was deemed unnecessary roughness. Vikings right tackle Brian O’Neill expressed regret for not doing more to protect Murray during the play, while running back Aaron Jones reflected on the emotional impact of witnessing a teammate in distress on the field.
