Josh Jacobs, the running back for the Green Bay Packers, is currently facing misdemeanor charges of battery and criminal damage to property. Despite this situation, head coach Matt LaFleur has stated his expectation that Jacobs will continue to be part of the team.

LaFleur made these comments following the team's preseason finale, indicating that the organization respects the legal process surrounding Jacobs. He noted that while the situation is uncertain, he anticipates Jacobs will remain with the Packers.

Given that the allegations involve domestic violence, the NFL may follow its standard procedures, which could result in Jacobs being placed on paid leave during the legal proceedings. If found guilty, he could face a suspension of up to six games. LaFleur acknowledged that he is unsure if Jacobs will be available for the first week of the season.
