Packers Explore Running Back Trade Options for 2027 Draft
The Green Bay Packers are evaluating potential running back trades as they prepare for the 2027 NFL Draft, utilizing their available picks. With their offensive line issues addressed for the short term, the team is focusing on strengthening their running back position, especially with Josh Jacobs currently on the NFL Commissioner’s Exempt List.
A trade simulator from A to Z Sports suggests that the Packers' second-round pick could be used to acquire Jonathan Taylor from the Indianapolis Colts. Taylor, who has had a decline in performance this season, is under a two-year, $44 million contract. Other options include J.K. Dobbins from the Denver Broncos for a third-round pick, and Javonte Williams from the Dallas Cowboys for a fourth-round pick.
Additionally, a fifth-round pick could secure Chase Brown from the Cincinnati Bengals, while a seventh-round pick might bring Brian Robinson Jr. from the Atlanta Falcons. Each of these players presents varying levels of risk and potential benefit for the Packers as they look to enhance their roster.
