Packers Host Panthers in Week 8 NFL Matchup

The Green Bay Packers, currently at the bottom of the NFC North, will host the Carolina Panthers, who lead the NFC South, in a Thursday night matchup to start Week 8 of the NFL season.

Green Bay, with a record of 4-3, is looking to bounce back after a narrow 20-17 defeat against the Detroit Lions, where they lost on a last-minute field goal. Meanwhile, the Panthers, sitting at 3-3, suffered a heavy 43-13 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, despite being the only team in their division with a winning record.

The Packers are favored by 3.5 points, with a slight shift in betting lines noted. Green Bay's quarterback, Jordan Love, has been performing well, ranking second in the league for passing yards. However, the team struggles with rushing, currently last in the league in that category. The Panthers are also dealing with injuries, including the loss of right tackle Taylor Moton to injured reserve.
