Packers' Keisean Nixon Added to Injury Report Before Panthers Game

Cornerback Keisean Nixon has been listed as questionable due to a shoulder injury just hours before the Packers' game against the Panthers, raising concerns for the team's defense.

The Green Bay Packers received a last-minute update regarding cornerback Keisean Nixon ahead of their Week 8 matchup against the Carolina Panthers. Nixon, who had not been on the injury report all week, was suddenly added with a shoulder injury and is now considered questionable for the game.

This unexpected development poses a challenge for the Packers, as Nixon has been a key player in their defense, having not missed any games this season. If he is unable to play, Benjamin St-Juste and Carrington Valentine are likely candidates to step in as replacements.

Fortunately for Green Bay, St-Juste has returned from a hamstring injury and is ready to play. If Nixon is sidelined, rookie Brandon Cisse would become the top cornerback. The team also has Kamal Hadden on the roster for additional depth, and they could elevate players from the practice squad if necessary. The Packers have until 3 p.m. (CT) to finalize their roster decisions before the game.
