Packers Prepare for Potential Absence of Josh Jacobs in Week 1

The Green Bay Packers are reportedly bracing for the possibility that running back Josh Jacobs may not be available for Week 1 of the upcoming season.

Jacobs, who previously played for the Las Vegas Raiders, is facing misdemeanor charges from an offseason arrest, although he maintains his innocence. The NFL could impose disciplinary action if he is found guilty of breaching the personal conduct policy.

Michael Ginnitti, CEO of Spotrac, mentioned that Jacobs is in the third year of a four-year, $48 million contract with the Packers, set to earn $11.5 million this season, with none of his remaining $25 million salary guaranteed. Despite the situation, Jacobs continues to practice with the team as they prepare for the season opener, although the Packers have not publicly commented in detail on the matter.
