Packers Promote Mekhi Becton Amid Offensive Line Injuries
The Green Bay Packers have made a roster adjustment by promoting guard Mekhi Becton from the practice squad and placing Jacob Monk on injured reserve due to a quad injury sustained during the game against the Detroit Lions.
This move indicates an impending competition on the offensive line, particularly at right guard, where Becton has significant experience. Monk is expected to miss at least four games, while starting center Sean Rhyan is also likely sidelined with a high ankle sprain.
The Packers are currently evaluating their options at right guard, with Travis Glover and Kevin Zeitler also in the mix. The team faces the Carolina Panthers soon, limiting immediate changes, but they will have additional time to assess their lineup before their next game against the New England Patriots.
