Packers Promote Pierre Strong Jr. to Active Roster Ahead of Bears Game
The Green Bay Packers have promoted running back Pierre Strong Jr. from the practice squad to the active roster on Thursday, ahead of their game against the Chicago Bears.
Strong, who has been with the Packers for over a year, was initially signed to the practice squad after being waived by the Cleveland Browns. This marks the first time he has secured a permanent spot on the 53-man roster, having previously been elevated for games.
Strong had a notable college career at South Dakota State, where he earned All-America honors and finished with impressive rushing statistics. His promotion comes as the Packers seek to improve their struggling ground game, although it remains uncertain if he will play significant snaps against the Bears.
