Packers Release Travion Fluellen to Sign Jonnu Smith
The Green Bay Packers have made a roster change by waiving defensive back Travion Fluellen to sign free agent tight end Jonnu Smith to a one-year contract.
Jonnu Smith finalized his agreement with the Packers on Saturday, prompting the team to release Fluellen. During his college career, Fluellen played one season at Houston Baptist before transferring to Middle Tennessee State, where he recorded significant statistics over three seasons.
Fluellen's college performance included 197 tackles, five interceptions, and 16 pass breakups. He went undrafted in 2024 and briefly joined the New Orleans Saints, spending time on their practice squad without making an appearance in a game.
