Pakistan Cricket Board Sends Players Home Amid Behavioral Concerns

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has made the decision to send seven players and two coaches back home after the team faced defeats in the first two Tests against England. This move has been attributed to behavioral concerns, particularly involving senior players Mohammad Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq, and Salman Ali Agha.

Following the losses, the PCB opted for significant changes ahead of the third Test at Edgbaston. Test coach Sarfaraz has been replaced by Mike Hesson, who will oversee the team for the final match. Rizwan's performance was under scrutiny, as he scored only 61 runs in four innings and faced criticism for his shot selection. Imam did not bat in the second Test due to a calf strain, raising questions about his commitment.

Rizwan, Imam, and Agha are expected to appear before a committee to discuss their conduct during recent tours. The other players sent home were removed based on Hesson's recommendations, as he aims to evaluate different players. The PCB's actions may also impact the selection committee, with senior selector Aaqib Javed's position reportedly at risk amid a broader restructuring by PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
