Pakistan Cricket Team Faces Controversy During England Tour

The Pakistan cricket team is embroiled in controversy during their tour of England, as players who were removed from the Test squad were instructed to meet King Charles III at Clarence House. This directive was reportedly aimed at preventing a low turnout following significant changes to the touring group.

After defeats at Lord's and Headingley, seven players and several coaches were dismissed from the squad. Despite their removal, some players were told to attend the royal engagement. While Ali Usman, Aamir Jamal, Khurram Shahzad, and Muhammad Awais Zafar participated in the meeting, others chose to abstain due to the team's internal strife.

During the meeting, King Charles engaged with the players and officials, offering encouragement amid the challenging tour. Babar Azam presented the King with a signed bat, and PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi described the encounter as positive, noting the King's acknowledgment of Pakistan's role in promoting peace.
