Pakistan to Wear Pink Jerseys for Breast Cancer Awareness in ODI Against England
The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced that the fourth ODI between Pakistan and England on October 25 will focus on breast cancer awareness. This initiative aims to promote the importance of early detection and timely treatment of the disease.
The match, taking place at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium, will feature players wearing specially designed pink kits. Additionally, the England team, match officials, and commentators are encouraged to wear pink ribbons to show solidarity with breast cancer patients and survivors. Pink-branded stumps will also be used during the game, and messages promoting awareness will be displayed on the stadium's screens.
This event coincides with Pinktober, the internationally recognized Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and is part of the PCB's corporate social responsibility efforts. The campaign seeks to leverage the visibility of international cricket to enhance awareness of breast cancer and the necessity for prompt medical attention.
