Panthers Activate RB Trevor Etienne from Injured Reserve, Place DT Cam Jackson on IR
The Carolina Panthers have announced that running back Trevor Etienne is set to return from injured reserve. Etienne, who suffered an ankle injury in August, became eligible to return after the team's victory over the Lions in Week 4, but his return was delayed until after the bye week.
Etienne was selected in the fourth round of the 2025 draft and contributed as a returner and in limited offensive roles during his rookie season. Currently, Chuba Hubbard and AJ Dillon are the active running backs on the Panthers' roster. In a related move, the team has placed defensive tackle Cam Jackson on injured reserve due to a shoulder injury.
This decision leaves the Panthers with three open spots on their active roster. Additionally, offensive tackle Taylor Moton and defensive lineman Turk Wharton have also been designated for return this week, potentially allowing all three players to participate in the upcoming Week 6 game against the Eagles.
