Panthers Add Linebacker Tyrel Dodson to Roster, Waive Jimmy Horn

The Carolina Panthers have signed linebacker Tyrel Dodson to their 53-man roster in preparation for their upcoming Week 2 game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Dodson, who previously joined the Panthers' practice squad after being released by the Miami Dolphins, was added to the active roster following Week 1, allowing the team to avoid guaranteeing his salary for the entire season. Last season, he recorded 129 tackles, five sacks, an interception, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery in 16 starts with Miami.

In a related move, the Panthers waived wide receiver Jimmy Horn, a sixth-round pick in 2025, who had 11 receptions last season and was involved in a muffed punt during Carolina's Week 1 loss to the Chicago Bears.
