Panthers' Barkov and Marchand Return to Skating as Injuries Heal
The Florida Panthers are making progress towards full forward health as captain Aleksander Barkov and winger Brad Marchand have both resumed skating. This development was confirmed by head coach Paul Maurice.
Barkov is projected to be four weeks away from returning to game action, while Marchand is expected to be back in three weeks. Barkov suffered a left knee injury early in the season, having previously missed all of last season due to a right knee injury. His recovery timeline remains consistent with the initial estimate of six to eight weeks.
Marchand has been sidelined since early October due to a left leg injury. Despite the absence of these key players, the Panthers have maintained a solid performance, achieving a record of 7-4-2 in their last 13 games, securing the top wild-card position in the Eastern Conference.
