Panthers Place Cornerback Akayleb Evans on Injured Reserve

The Carolina Panthers have announced that cornerback Akayleb Evans has been placed on injured reserve due to injuries to his knee and triceps. This decision comes after he was already ruled out for the game against the Packers.

Evans had been a starter for the past three games following the injuries to fellow cornerbacks Jaycee Horn and Mike Jackson. With Evans now sidelined, the Panthers will be without him for a minimum of four games.

In response to the situation, the Panthers have four cornerbacks available for the upcoming game: Will Lee, Chau Smith-Wade, Malcolm DeWalt, and Marco Wilson. DeWalt was signed to the 53-player roster after joining the practice squad last week. Wilson, who has significant experience, was elevated from the practice squad along with guard Jake Curhan, who has also played for the Panthers previously.
