Panthers Release Saahdiq Charles and Ainias Smith from Injured Reserve

The Carolina Panthers have announced the release of guard Saahdiq Charles and wide receiver Ainias Smith from injured reserve, both due to injury settlements.

Charles, who was placed on injured reserve with a calf injury, had been with the Panthers for most of last season on the practice squad, participating in two games and contributing on special teams.

Ainias Smith, who was drafted by the Eagles in the fifth round of the 2024 draft, also went on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury. He played in seven games for the Panthers, starting one, and recorded seven receptions for 41 yards and one touchdown.
