Panthers Sign Quarterback Kyle Trask and Waive Two Players

The Carolina Panthers announced the signing of quarterback Kyle Trask on Sunday.

This move comes after the team needed to bolster their quarterback lineup following Haynes King's hamstring injury, which he sustained during the Hall of Fame Game and is expected to sideline him for a period.

Kyle Trask, a second-round draft pick by Tampa Bay in 2021, has previously played in seven games as a backup. He did not make the roster last summer and spent time on the practice squad of the Atlanta Falcons during the regular season. Additionally, the Panthers waived wide receiver Malick Meiga and linebacker Nick Hampton, both with injury designations.
