Paolo Banchero to Miss Four to Six Weeks Due to Ankle Injury
Orlando Magic forward Paolo Banchero will be out for four to six weeks due to a low-grade right high ankle sprain, as reported by ESPN's Shams Charania.
Banchero experienced discomfort during the first quarter of a recent game but continued to play, finishing with 14 points, six rebounds, and five assists in 26 minutes. If he is out for four weeks, he could miss approximately 13 games.
Previously, Banchero had a strong start to the season, scoring 35 points in the opening game. He was the first overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft and has faced injury challenges in the past, including missing significant time during the 2024-25 season. The Magic have previously managed without him, going 7-3 in games he missed last season.
