Parvinder Awana has been appointed as the chairman of the newly established BCCI junior selection committee as of October 23, 2026. Awana, a former Indian pacer, has a playing history that includes two T20 internationals and 62 First-Class matches, where he took 191 wickets.

In addition to his playing career, Awana has transitioned into coaching, working with various youth teams in Delhi and the India U19 team, as well as participating in high-performance programs under the BCCI. The committee also includes Krishna Das, Rakesh Patel, and N. Arjun Yadav, each with their own extensive backgrounds in cricket and coaching.
