Pascal Wehrlein Accuses Jaguar of Unsporting Tactics in London Finale
Pascal Wehrlein, driving for Porsche in the Formula E series, expressed his frustration towards Jaguar and driver Antonio Felix da Costa after a contentious season finale in London. Wehrlein, who secured the 2025-26 championship, accused da Costa of intentionally obstructing him to support Mitch Evans' title challenge.
During the race, Wehrlein found himself trapped behind da Costa, who slowed down on the ExCeL track, allowing other competitors to overtake. At one point, Wehrlein fell out of the points after being forced wide by da Costa, which he described as a deliberate tactic to hinder his performance.
Wehrlein highlighted that both teams employed strategies to aid their respective drivers, but he felt da Costa's actions crossed a line, alleging that he attempted to brake-test him. Following the race, Wehrlein labeled da Costa as an 'enemy' and criticized the unsporting nature of his driving, vowing to remember these tactics as he prepares for the next season.
