Pascal Wehrlein Secures Second Formula E Title Despite London E-Prix Challenges

Pascal Wehrlein has been crowned the 2025-26 Formula E world champion, joining Jean-Eric Vergne as the only two-time champions in the series. This achievement came despite Wehrlein finishing outside the points in the London E-Prix, where Taylor Barnard claimed victory.

Wehrlein entered the final weekend third in the standings, needing to overcome a five-point deficit to leader Jake Dennis. He gained the championship lead after winning the first race, aided by team orders from Porsche. In the second race, Wehrlein qualified third, while Dennis struggled in 16th place, making his title defense challenging.

The race saw significant position changes, particularly on lap 26 when Evans made a double overtake, putting Wehrlein in jeopardy. However, a collision involving Dennis allowed Wehrlein to maintain his title. Ultimately, Barnard's win secured his first series victory, while Wehrlein finished 14th, still securing the championship.
