Pascal Wehrlein Takes Championship Lead with Victory at London E-Prix

Pascal Wehrlein, driving for Porsche, won the first race of the London E-Prix weekend, taking the lead in the Formula E championship ahead of the season finale on Sunday. He finished six seconds ahead of Jake Dennis from Andretti, with Antonio Felix da Costa from Jaguar completing the podium at the ExCeL Arena.

Wehrlein now leads Dennis by five points, with 29 points still available in the championship. Mitch Evans and Oliver Rowland, who finished 11th and 10th respectively, are effectively out of contention for the title.

Porsche had a strong qualifying session, with both of its cars in the final duel. Wehrlein started the race unchallenged and quickly established a lead. Despite some strategic moves from other drivers, Wehrlein maintained his position, benefiting from a yellow flag incident that allowed him to pit without losing his lead.
