Pat McAfee Believes Packers Still Feel Absence of Aaron Rodgers
Three years after Aaron Rodgers left the Green Bay Packers, Pat McAfee has stated that the team still feels his absence. As Rodgers prepares for his final NFL season in 2026, he aims to improve on last year's 10-7 record, which ended with a Wild Card Round loss to the Houston Texans.
The Packers, who also faced elimination at the same postseason stage with a 9-7-1 record, have yet to see Jordan Love, drafted as Rodgers' successor in 2020, advance past the Divisional Round in his three years as a starter. McAfee noted that Rodgers' recent playful defense during a Steelers practice showcased a spark that he believes is lacking in Green Bay.
While some fans were not impressed with Rodgers' antics, McAfee appreciated the positive energy it brought to the Steelers, suggesting that such moments are what the Packers miss. Despite recent criticisms from Rodgers, McAfee continues to support the quarterback, emphasizing his remarkable career. Rodgers has confirmed that this will be his last season, with no plans to reverse that decision.
