Pat McAfee Expands Role at ESPN with Monday Night Countdown

Pat McAfee has officially joined ESPN's Monday Night Countdown as a panelist, marking a significant expansion of his role with the network. This new position will see him participating in the NFL pre-game show each week throughout the season.

In addition to his work on Monday Night Countdown, McAfee's daily ESPN show will be broadcast from the location of Monday Night Football. He continues to host ESPN's College GameDay, making this football season particularly busy for him. McAfee had previously stepped away from his WWE Raw commentary role in June 2025, citing burnout.

Despite a packed schedule, McAfee expressed enthusiasm about his involvement with both GameDay and Monday Night Countdown. Earlier reports indicated that he was in negotiations with ESPN for a new deal potentially worth $60-65 million annually.
