Patchy Mix Fails to Make Weight at RIZIN 54
Patchy Mix, a former Bellator bantamweight champion, weighed in at 63.85kg at the RIZIN 54 weigh-ins in Tokyo, exceeding the bantamweight limit of 61kg by 6.3 pounds.
As a result of this weight miss, the promotion announced that Mix will no longer participate in the co-main event against Shoko Sato. According to RIZIN regulations, fighters who fail to make weight have their wins changed to no-contests, which means Mix's winless streak now extends to three fights, including two losses in the UFC and a knockout defeat in his RIZIN debut.
In addition to Mix, another fighter on the card, Alibek Gadzhammatov, also missed weight for his flyweight bout. However, both Kyoma Akimoto and former champion Kleber Koike successfully made weight for the main event.
