Patchy Mix, a former Bellator champion, experienced his fourth consecutive loss at RIZIN 54 on Tuesday in Tokyo after failing to make weight by more than six pounds.

Mix was penalized two points before the fight began and ultimately lost to Shoko Sato by a unanimous decision, with all three judges scoring the bout 28-27. Although Mix attempted to secure a submission in the first round, Sato managed to control the fight as Mix's performance declined in the later rounds.

The main event featured a notable victory for 20-year-old Kyoma Akimoto, who defeated former RIZIN champion Kleber Koike by decision. The event saw eight of the ten fights conclude before the final bell, with only the main and co-main events requiring judges' decisions.
