Pato O'Ward Dominates Milwaukee Doubleheader with Two Wins
Pato O'Ward secured victories in both races held on Sunday at the Milwaukee doubleheader, bringing his career total to 12 wins, with three occurring in the 2026 season.
In the first race of the day, which was designated as Race #2 on the weekend schedule, O'Ward finished ahead of Scott McLaughlin and Christian Lundgaard. The second race, labeled Race #1, saw O'Ward take the lead from David Maluks during the final restart, resulting in Maluks finishing second, marking his sixth runner-up finish without a win. Rinus VeeKay completed the podium by overtaking McLaughlin amidst lapped traffic.
O'Ward's achievement makes him the first driver since Rick Mears in 1981 to win two IndyCar races on the same day.
