Patrick Herbert Joins Chargers' Practice Squad, Reunites with Brother Justin
Patrick Herbert has joined the Los Angeles Chargers' practice squad after being released by the Jacksonville Jaguars. This move reunites him with his brother, quarterback Justin Herbert, for the first time since they played together at Oregon in 2019.
Patrick, a tight end, was cut by the Jaguars on Sunday after spending the previous year on their practice squad. The 25-year-old, who is three years younger than Justin, had a college career at Oregon from 2019 to 2024, where he recorded 31 receptions for 388 yards and four touchdowns.
During his freshman year, Patrick appeared in two games while Justin led the Ducks to a successful season, culminating in a Rose Bowl victory. Now, both brothers will practice together as part of the Chargers.
